  1. I love the colors… very balanced across the quilt, eyes can move nicely. No one spot on the quilt grabs the eyes AND stops that movement. I think your muggle MIL will love it; it is a very nice quilt.

Heck I would love it… are you sure you do not want to mail it to me instead?

  2. I really like it. It is very mellow and it makes me smile to look at it. I am sure that the MIL will love it.

Can you post a picture of your stencil of the “Heart Bow” because I am having a hard time picturing. I love that there are no two hearts alike.

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Love this quilt! I might have to make one like it. Is it jelly roll friendly? Looks like it could be. Thanks for sharing your Mom’s quilt again too. I’m longarming again today, so thank you for having three! podcasts for me to listen to!

  4. Much better. 🙂

re: bullseye…you DID say to not spare your feelings and to be truthful. But I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings! You could have changed out that red and white block for a more subdued block and gone with arrangement number one too. That also speaks to the symmetry loving side of me.

machine quilting…I had a full mid-arm setup. I did a number of quilts with it. I sold it. I too, like machine quilting bestest on my regular machine! I would not mind getting one with a larger harp area, but that is a bit out of my price range right now.

We’ve had freezing weather and my attempt at late lettuce growing flopped! Lucky you!!!

Gotta go sew more…and decorate…and figure out what to get the husband for Christmas!

  5. Your Mom said it best – perfect!

I learned to love stencils too last year. (I also am sorry I didn’t get to take a class with Diane Gaudinsky before she retired as machine quilting is my favorite part of the whole quilting process.) But anyway, I do so like your sense of color.

  6. I really like the organized chaos of the different fabrics but still in uniform blocks (if that makes sense?). Looks wonderful!!

  7. Hi Francis I am getting caught up with your podcasts – listened to the last three yesterday. I really love your pinwheel quilt and the box one is such a great pattern. Also had a peek at Razzle which is stunning. You have been working really hard.
Just thought I would say that the new series of Downtown Abbey is worth the wait – I am in the UK and have seen the series, lots of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.
I have read A town like Alice by Nevile Shute which you mentioned on a recent episode – it is great and the film is wonderful as well.
Happy quilting, knitting and reading C x
