Warning: This is a rambly episode.

My QuiltCon rejects:

The book that changed my life: Liberated Quiltmaking by Gwen Marston

I got The Story of Arthur Truluv by Elizabeth Berg for Christmas, and as I hoped, it was absolutely charming!

  1. I love your quilting and I would love to read you new book. Hopefully, I can win a copy. Thank you for the opportunity!!

  2. I haven’t listened yet, but I know I will love the episode because I always do. And I should win the book because it has got my name on it!

  3. I LOVE the circular quilting! I may have to try it sometime, although the first circle scares me! Any tips?- Haven’t listened to your podcast yet- perhaps you have already shared your secrets?? I believe someone in the Twilter group has already read your book and has recommended it.

  4. I would be honored to win a copy! I really enjoyed your first book and was inspired to try to write my own little story that’s been floating around in my head.

  5. Frances I just read “Margaret Goes Modern” so I don’t need to win a copy; however, I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed each story. I am inspired enough to blow away the dust from my sewing machine I think. Happy New Year to you and your family.

  6. I would love to read your new book about Margaret and would be thrilled to win a copy of it!
    Thanks for your podcast!

  7. Another special podcast! I thoroughly enjoyed your new book over the holidays, reading during stolen moments amidst the chaos of a house full of company.

  8. Happy New Year! I love listening to your podcast. I’m fascinated by your generosity in sharing your life and quilting process with the unknown public. I compose bits of websites and podcasts in my head, which will not see the light of day due to my cowardice and sloth. I would love to read your new book.

  9. I LOVE your sit-in quilt!! Especially the name. Sorry QuiltCon couldn’t see how great it was.
I just finished an Elizabeth Berg novel and was very disappointed. Think it was called Year of Unexpected Pleasures (actually I know that is not the title…but it was something like that). Maybe with your recommendation, I will try her new one.
Just downloaded Margaret goes Modern. I’m looking forward to reading it.
I love getting your podcast and am a frequent commentor (in my head) but you hear those, right?

  10. would love to win your book! your 2 quilts are great–even if they’re not in quiltcon; all your listeners (including the ones who are commenting in their heads) get to see it–that’s probably a wider viewership than at a “con.” have you ever seen a joseph’s coat quilt? it’s a variation of the melon seed. i also have a version of the melon seed quilt coming along–just need to put them together one day–too many other projects to juggle right now 🙂 thanks for your podcast–always love listening!

  11. You’ve inspired me to definitely submit next year anyway. I already know exactly which quilt – and it’ll be SOLIDS. The blasphemy!

    Would love to read Margaret!
